The first book in the Black Womb series was dedicated to my mother, Elizabeth LeDrew. Although I thought the reasons for this would be self-explainatory, I will explain them here. After the initial self-publication of the series while still in high school, most of my creative efforts went towards writing Black Womb and other stories, rather than trying to get it published. It was my mother's periodic exclamation of: "We have to get that published." That would remind me that while I was writing mostly just for the thrill of it, there would be an end result eventually. It was also my mother who brought (re: forced) me to the first Sci-Fi on the Rock convention in Mount Pearl around April 2007, where I met fellow author Kenneth Tam. It was his advice that helped me get Black Womb off the ground. Since it was Mom that got me into the situation under which I met him, she inadvertantly got the ball rolling on the whole process. Hence, this dedication. Thanks.
